      2019 Compete for a Cause Calgary: Tournament of Companies

      Calgary businesses - join us for night of celebrating abundance. Compete for a Cause Calgary: Tournament of Companies invites 18 businesses to play "Leverage: The Game of Business" on behalf of a cause of their choosing. Entry fee to claim one of the 18 game pieces is $150, the night's winner will have secured a  $2700 (total pot) donation to the cause they were competing on behalf of. This is business for good. Learning for good. Networking for good. And a few laughs for good. What are you waiting for? Only 18 seats available in the tournament. Back your favourite charity / organization / non-profit and compete for a chance to give them a minimum $2700 cheque.*  Secure your place at the table before July 15 2019 and be entered into a draw to win a business-to-business services value package valued at over $1500! Evening Agenda: 5:00pm - 6:00pm: Social6:00pm - 9:00pm: Tournament About "Leverage: The Game of Business" Created over 20 years ago by Brad Sugars, founder of ActionCOACH business coaching, Leverage: The Game of Business is a hands-on, fun, thinking on the spot, virtual tour of growing an actual business. Players must decide to invest, or not invest, in strategies to increase their bottom line financial performance and weigh investing in leverage that will increase their freedom along with their profits.  *Assuming full attendance. Please note - we wiill require a minimum of 12 participants to hold this event. Postponement/cancellation is a possibility in which case registration fees will be refunded through eventbrite. See FAQs below for more information. FAQs   What are my parking options for the event? Street parking.   What can I bring into the event? Calculator, a smile, and some business cards. How come my amount owing is more than my ticket price / donation amount ? Eventbrite charges a fee for allowing transactions through their platform. Can we get a tax receipt for this? Yes. If we secure a spot - how many of us can attend? Two people per business can sit at the table and play, but as many as 4 people total from your company can attend the evening to cheer you on. Please list everyone's name on your ticket registration. Can we invite people from our chosen cause ? Of course, two people from your sponsored organization are welcome to attend. Please list everyone's name on your registration ticket. What classifies as a cause / charity / non-profit ? We're looking for legitimate and registered organizations as causes you may back.  What exactly do you mean by 'beverages and snacks' ? Fresh beer on tap from some local breweries, selection of wine, water, tea, coffee, etc. Some finger foods - meats, cheeses, some vegetables, and some simple sandwiches.
