      Hygiene & Your Microbiome - Let Them Eat Dirt Lecture Series

      The Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases, in partnership with the Calgary Public Library, present “Let Them Eat Dirt”, a four part lecture series that will cover a variety of topics around children and the microbiome. Are you an expectant or new parent wanting to learn more about your child's gut? Are you interested in learning how to give your child an early start to a healthier immune system? Are you curious about what the microbiome even means? Dr. Marie-Claire Arrieta, PhD is an internationally recognized microbiome researcher at the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases at the University of Calgary and co-author of bestselling book, Let Them Eat Dirt. She will lead a dynamic introduction around what you should know about the microbiome and your children.      1) Pregnancy and Your Microbiome - Sept 12     2) Baby Milk and Your Microbiome - Sept 26     3) Solid Foods and Your Baby's Microbiome - Oct 10     4) Hygiene and Your Microbiome - Oct 24 All lectures will take place on the Main Floor at the Fish Creek Calgary Public Library from 6:30 pm – 8:00pm. There are no pre-requisites to attend these lectures and they are open to the public from high school students to retirees.
